Everything you might want to know about playing on GameHub. If your question is not answered here, you can always reach us using the feedback button in the corner of any page, or the contact details at the bottom.
Yes, completely and permanently. Every game on GameHub is free to play with no downloads, no subscriptions and no in-game purchases of any kind. The site is funded entirely by advertising displayed in the space around the games โ never inside the games themselves, and never as a video you have to watch before playing.
No. Every game runs instantly inside your web browser using modern web standards. There is nothing to install, no app to download, and no plugin required. Click a game and you are playing within a second or two.
GameHub works on any modern browser โ Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge and others โ on desktops, laptops, phones and tablets. The site is built mobile-first, so touch and swipe controls are supported throughout. For the smoothest experience we recommend keeping your browser updated to a recent version.
There are several ways:
No โ you can play every game on the site without ever signing up. An account is entirely optional and only exists to unlock social and convenience features. If you just want to play, you never have to create one.
Creating a free account lets you:
Once signed in, open the profile menu and choose "Edit profile". From there you can change your display name, bio, avatar, banner colour and privacy settings, and choose which earned tags to display.
You are always in control of your data. From the account settings page you can export everything associated with your account, or permanently delete the account entirely. Deletion is immediate and removes your scores, profile and social data.
It takes about ten seconds. Open any game labelled "Online", click to create a room, and you will be given a short room code. Send that code to your friend by text, chat or call. They open the same game, enter the code, and you are instantly connected and playing โ no app, no account, no setup.
Yes. Because everything runs in the browser, your phone can play against a friend's laptop on the other side of the world. Any two devices with a modern browser and an internet connection can play together.
Real-time multiplayer works on the large majority of networks, but a small number of restrictive setups (some corporate or school firewalls) can block the live connection. If a match will not start, the usual fix is to switch one player to a different network โ for example, mobile data instead of office Wi-Fi. Turn-based games like Connect 4 or Checkers are far less affected by connection quality, so they are the safest choice on an unreliable network. Our multiplayer guide covers this in detail.
Your personal best scores are saved in your browser automatically, so they persist between visits on the same device even without an account. If you sign in, the scores you submit also appear on the global leaderboards and follow you across devices.
Simply finish a game with a good score โ your final score is submitted automatically, and you only need to choose a nickname once. Every game has a sensible server-side cap to keep the boards fair, and you can filter the leaderboards by time period (last 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days or all time).
We take fair play seriously. Scores pass server-side sanity checks, suspicious entries can be flagged, and moderators review the leaderboards. You can report a player or a score directly from their profile, and our team will look into it.
Try these steps in order:
Close other heavy tabs and applications to free up memory, and make sure no large downloads are competing for your connection. On older phones, closing background apps often helps the more graphically intensive games run smoothly.
Local progress is stored in your browser, so it can be lost if you clear your browsing data, use private/incognito mode, or switch to a different device or browser. Creating a free account and signing in is the reliable way to keep scores safe across devices.
We aim to collect as little as possible. If you play without an account, the site stores game progress locally in your browser and uses standard, privacy-respecting analytics and advertising. If you create an account, we store the information you provide (such as your nickname and email) to run the social features. Full details are in our privacy policy.
Ads are served by Google and may use cookies. On your first visit you are asked for cookie consent, and until you accept, ads default to a non-personalised mode. You can change your choice at any time, and EU/UK visitors are handled in line with GDPR requirements.
The games themselves are family-friendly. The optional social features (chat and friends) include moderation tools, content filtering and reporting, but as with any site that allows communication, we recommend parental supervision for younger children. The core games can all be enjoyed with no account and no interaction with other people at all.
You can report a player or a score from their profile page, flag inappropriate content, or send us feedback using the feedback button in the corner of any page. We review reports and take action against rule-breakers.
If you could not find an answer here, we would genuinely like to hear from you. Use the feedback button in the bottom corner of any page to send a message directly, or email us at hello@hamorbit.com. We read everything, and player feedback genuinely shapes what we build next.
